The results for last Thursday are now posted.  Click on League Standings below the gun rack picture.  I was a miserable night and we have no high guns to report this week.  The weather should be about 30 degrees warmer this week.  Good luck everyone.

Our chicken shoot dates are now on the calendar.  They will be held July 13, 2013 and September 14, 2013.  Also here is the lowdown on summer league classing and high gun.  The entire league shoots as a group handicapped off of the lead team with ten bird splits until after five weeks of shooting.  After the fifth week the teams are handicapped and the splits will go down to 5 birds per yard off of the lead team in each class.  The high gun rankings will also come out when the teams are classed and will be updated weekly.  If you want to read an explanation of how we figure the high guns you can read this post from June of 2011.  I hope this helps.

Summer league started once again.  It has been mostly cool but there was some hot shooting in the first week of league.  Congratulations to Roger Heineck for shooting a perfect 50!  As usual the scores are posted weekly on the site and in the TRG.  Just click on League Standings below the picture of the rack of shotguns.  Congratulations to our other high guns: Travis Lindekugel 49, Pat Langfeldt 48, Dave Jacobson 48, Bucky Gardner 48, Don Zager 47, Kerry Hansen 47, Darrell Struensee 46, Jim Koski 46, and Bill Weiler 46.

Once again another summer league has come.  No, really it has, just ignore the white stuff on the ground.  Wednesday, April 24 is our practice night at the club and the real league begins Thursday April 25.  Here are the fees for the start of league.  Sponsorship fee for each team is $75.  The annual membership for each shooter is $35.  Shooting is $6 per night or $3 per round and the league lasts 18 weeks typically weather permitting.  Check back in the next week and I will be posting the pictures from our winter bar stool races.

*Post previously misstated practice night to be Thursday, April 18 and the league to last 16 weeks.  This information has now been corrected.

  • 4/18/13  Practice night for the upcoming summer league.
  • 4/25/13  Start of summer league.

I will provide more information as I get it and we get closer to the events listed.  Thanks.

The new scores are posted.  Congratulations to our high guns Bill Weiler and Roger Heineck, who both shot a 46.  This is a reminder to all teams.  No subs scores are allowed the last two weeks of shooting.  Most teams that had subs got lucky and their scores were actually better taking your regular shooter’s average.  Anyway if you have questions about the scoring and what I did this last week just ask, I will be happy to explain.
